Christmas is the time …

… to say thank you to our wonderful customers, knowledgeable reps and everyone who’s gone that extra mile to help us during 2016.

It’s been a year of personal milestones – a Taphouse wedding! A new home – we’re back in Newport at Taphouse Towers! Excellent sales – especially post-Brexit. And huge improvements to our shop in Barclays Bank Chambers, Newport. If you’ve not popped in recently, do come by, and see the new windows, new door, new lighting, new displays, new ranges … and familiar, friendly faces!

Carl and I have been particularly touched this year by the kindness and appreciation our customers have shown us for a job well done. We’ve been gifted bottles of wine, beautiful flowers, and even an all-expenses-paid night out! We never take your orders for granted – each and every client is special and deserves the very best customer experience we can deliver.

That’s why Carl will always turn up to measure when he says he will – no matter how hard a day’s fitting he’s had. Pru will always come back to you on email or by phone with a quote or an update on your order. If you need us to drop by with sample books, just ask – we know they can be heavy to carry home. And we can collect them too, when you’ve finished browsing!

We will never give you a written or verbal quote and then present you with a bill for a higher amount. You will always get the carpet you chose, not some inferior alternative that’s had the label removed – in fact we recommend that whether you buy from us, or anyone else, you ask the carpet fitter to show you the label so you know you’re getting exactly what you’ve paid for. And most importantly, we won’t leave you high and dry if something’s not quite right – although it has to be said, that doesn’t happen very often!

Christmas is also a time to appreciate the joy of family. This summer, Carl has been ably helped by our son Adam, back home from university and Alf and Marjorie have generously facilitated the shop refurbishment for us.

Of course, with Christmas round the corner, so is the new year. We don’t want to give too much away at the moment, but watch this space for our spring editorial, here in NOVA. We’ll have something rather special to share with you – and yes, you’ll be able to recreate it in your own home too, just in time for summer!
